Distinguished guests,

Ladies and Gentlemen,

It is a great pleasure for me to come to UWA campus again and join you for the launch of the Photography Exhibition by Madam YU Huiwen. I wish to extend my warmest welcome to Madam Yu and her delegation to Perth and thank her and her team for bringing pictures depicting beautiful China to WA. China is still in the celebrating mood of the 70th anniversary of the founding of People's Republic of China, you have indeed brought a precious gift for us who are abroad and really homesick.

Let me also thank WA government for the support of the Tale of Two Regions project. Premier McGowen attended and spoke at the inaugural exhibition in Shanghai in 2017. And today's exhibition again demonstrates the state government's support to cultural and people-to-people exchanges with China. This exhibition could not have materialized without the contribution and support by UWA Confucius Institute and Three Oceans Capital. I thank and congratulate them for the beautiful setting.

Thanks to Three Oceans, I have seen the photos for exhibition in advance and was deeply touched by the stunning beauty of Madam Yu's works. They not only show the unspoiled natural beauty of Tibet and Xinjiang Autonomous Regions, but also the chrisma of the Modern Metropolitan of Shanghai. The exhibition captures the vast and diverse beauty of China from different angles, and you can feel the love of the Photographer for her motherland. I am confident, Madam Yu's pursuit of high artistic standards and her concept of beauty nourishing hearts will touch all those who are lucky enough to see this exhibition.

Again I salute and congratulate Madame YU for her achievement. I wish the exhibition a great success!

Thank you!
